In addition to the programs and fundraising that MEMO SD does throughout the year, we also volunteer our time on several different occasions in San Diego.
Reality Changers:
Reality Changers transforms lives, schools, and communities by providing youth from disadvantaged backgrounds with the academic support, financial assistance and leadership training to become first generation college students.
Volunteers will tutor local high school students who have the potential to be the first in their family to go to college, have the chance to get to know kids who are determined and driven and who love to learn, and get a free dinner in the company of other tutors and their own students. MEMO has two shifts a week. Sign-ups/date & time are available in the Facebook group page.
Boys and Girls Club:
MEMO also has volunteers at Boys & Girls Club in Clairemont. Our members do tons of activities with the kids, which could include basketball, homework help, computer fun, dancing, playing (playground/board games), foosball, snacking, and other fun things. MEMO has two shifts a week. Sign-ups/date & time are available in the Facebook group page.
Ssubi:
Ssubi is dedicated to improving the living conditions underprivileged communities around the world by providing medical and critical supplies through sustainable methods. Our volunteers help sort and pack these supplies.
